The short version
Moonhop collects nothing. It has:
- no accounts and no sign-in;
- no ads;
- no analytics or tracking;
- no internet connection of any kind.
Your progress is saved only on your iPhone, and only you can see it.
Who we are
Moonhop is made by Mileta Avramović, publishing as Maxima Astra (“we” or “us”). If you have a question about this policy, email maximaastra@gmail.com.
What Moonhop saves on your iPhone
To remember your progress between games, Moonhop saves a small amount of game data in its own storage on your device. On iPhone that storage is called UserDefaults. The game saves:
- your best score;
- your stars, and how many you have collected in total;
- which looks for Pip you have unlocked, and which one Pip is wearing;
- your mission levels;
- whether sound is on or off;
- whether the aim helper is set to “always on”.
This data never leaves your device. It is not sent to us or to anyone else, and we can’t see it.
What we collect
Nothing. Moonhop doesn’t collect, send or share any personal information or usage data. That means:
- No name, email address, phone number or contacts.
- No location.
- No photos, camera, microphone or files.
- No device identifiers or advertising identifiers, and no tracking across apps or websites.
- No record of how or when you play.
Moonhop doesn’t ask for permission to use anything on your device, because it doesn’t need to.
Third parties
There are none. Moonhop contains:
- no third-party code (SDKs);
- no ads;
- no analytics;
- no social media features;
- no chat;
- no links out of the app.
The art is drawn in code and the sounds are generated by the game itself.
Apple
Apple runs the App Store. When you download Moonhop, Apple handles that under its own privacy policy.
If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers (Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements), Apple may give us crash reports and overall numbers, such as how many people downloaded the game. That information comes from Apple, not from Moonhop. It doesn’t identify you, and we use it only to fix problems and improve the game.
Backups
If you back up your iPhone with iCloud Backup or a computer, the backup may include Moonhop’s progress along with your other app data. You and Apple control those backups; we never see them. Restoring a backup can bring your progress back.
How long data is kept, and how to delete it
Your progress stays on your device until you delete the app. To erase it, delete Moonhop: touch and hold its icon, then tap Remove App → Delete App.
“Offload App” is different: it removes the app but keeps your progress for when you reinstall.
Children’s privacy
Moonhop is made to be safe for players of all ages. We don’t collect personal information from anyone, including:
- children under 13, as covered by the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA);
- children under the age of digital consent in their country, as covered by the EU and UK GDPR (up to 16, depending on the country).
There are no ads, purchases, accounts, chat, sharing or links out of the game, so a child can’t give personal information to anyone through it.
If a child emails us, we use the message only to reply and then delete it. We ask children to get a parent’s or guardian’s help before they contact us. Parents and guardians can reach us at any time at maximaastra@gmail.com.
If you email us
If you contact us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to answer you. We don’t share it, add you to a mailing list or use it for marketing. We delete the conversation once your question is resolved, and you can ask us to delete it sooner at any time.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR, the UK GDPR or U.S. state privacy laws (for example in California) give you rights to:
- access your personal information;
- correct it;
- delete it;
- object to how it is used.
The game holds no personal information about you, so there’s nothing for us to give you, correct or delete. If you have emailed us, you can use these rights for those emails by writing to maximaastra@gmail.com. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of Moonhop changes anything about privacy, such as adding Game Center, we will:
- update this policy and its effective date before that version is released;
- update the App Store privacy details to match.
